DateMate Social is for adults only. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including any sexual content involving someone under 18, grooming, or sexualised talk with or about children.

How we keep children off DateMate Social

  • Everyone must be 18 or older. We ask for a date of birth at sign-up and do not let anyone under 18 create an account.
  • Our team reviews new profiles and photos, and any member can report someone who looks under 18 ("Under 18" in the report form). These reports go to the top of our queue.
  • Accounts we believe belong to a minor are removed, and their data is deleted except what we must keep to protect children or as the law requires.

What we do about abuse

  • We remove CSAE content and ban the accounts involved, and we preserve the evidence.
  • We report it to the authorities as Indian law requires, including under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, through the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal and the police.
  • We cooperate with law enforcement requests about child safety.

How to report

  • In the app: use Report on the profile or in the chat, and choose "Under 18" or "Nude or sexual photos or messages".
  • To our child-safety contact, through the Grievance Officer page.
  • To the authorities: cybercrime.gov.in or the cyber crime helpline 1930. If a child is in danger now, call 112, or Childline 1098.
